This is a great group. The passion and caring for these oddballs of nature is truly amazing. And I admit I'm hooked.
I've been lurking a while... I've been building my cage(s)... i got my little veiled reserved (male) online from Craigslist... picking him up in a couple of days.
So I buy a first load of 2-week crickets for my 2.5 month old boy tomorrow, and based upon the knowledge gained here will gut-load them with veggies... also got my wingless fruit flies coming in from an online site tomorrow...
But there is one thing I know... All the prep I've done has been based upon the knowledge i gained from this group... and I will question everything I know when I put the little bugger in his cage. Dang.
Thank you all for the tremendous resource you have provided in this forum... I swear that new comers to the forum really do not need to ask a question as a new member - just hit SEARCH for your answer... it will be there.
I'm doing this -- owning/becoming the beast -- to teach my 4-year old about caring for animals... and responsibility.
Thank you all for such a resource. I would say this site has accomplished an initial goal... helping and encouraging people/newbies like me to enjoy and keep a healthy old world herp.
