I am new to chameleons and don't know how to tell if they are in good health or not. Just got one more pic of him will put it up later tonight

Yeah fill that form out, it will save you lots of time in the future if something ever does come up. Its kinda like doing your resume so you just have to update it when needed

Certainly is a beautiful cham though.

085.jpg this is the only other pic i have of him on my laptop right now. just moved him to a 2 foot wide 3 foot in lenth and 4 foot high cage and has 5.o uvb long ligh and basking area 3 poths plants and one unbrela tree. i have had him sincs the end of may this year

Calcium with d3 that what the guy I got him told me he said that all the supplement I need. Like I said I new to Chameleons and all good advice is welcomed

You need a calcium supplement without d3 and no phosphorus and also a multivitamin supplement( I'd go with either reptivite or the sticky tounge farm one with the red cap) You use the calcium w/o d3 for most feedings and you use the d3 and multivitamin twice a month each.

You should fill out that how to ask for help form as well. It will help us help you, you probably will have more problems if the guy you got him from told you to only use a d3 supplement.

Should I be worried about him since he has not had the other vitamins he should be geting wish I would have known he needed all that.

Ok thanks can I get that stuff at petsmart.

I don't think you can find it at PetSmart....I know mine doesn't have it. I buy from lllreptile. The feeders have to be "lightly" dusted with 3 kinds of supplements. Plain calcium (no d3) at every other feeding. Calcium with d3 twice a month and a multi. vit. once or twice a month. In this link I use the 1st, 3rd and 5th one. http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/...cage-cleaners/

You need to gut load the feeders with collard greens they are excellent. You can also use kale, carrots, butternut squash apple and orange. You can also buy a premixed gut load. My vet makes one that I use and one of the Forums members sales it. https://www.chameleonforums.com/dry-gutload-sale-37717/

I do gutload all his food just did not now he needed all the other stuff think he be ok I he got a 2" by 3" by 4" foot cage UVB and basking area mist him 4 to 6 times a day 3 live plants seen him drink water and he eat any worms I give him.

jann provided a link to the "how to ask for help form" but you might have missed it, so here it is again: https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/

Go to that link, copy the "questions" paste them into a reply here then type in your responses.

Just based on that photo, it looks like you might not have been sold the healthiest of animals. Very pretty though!

Chameleons are an odd combination of delicate and resilient. They can and do bounce back.

After you complete the form, you are almost certainly going to be told that things the pet store said to do are wrong. We've all been there!

The pet store was trying to sell you an animal and expensive supplies. The people here are trying to give you the longest time possible with your pet.

You should also try to read the links contained in this post: https://www.chameleonforums.com/basic-husbandry-38769/

Those links are going to give you a load of very good, very knowledgeable information which can help bring your baby to his healthiest possible state.
