well, its set up and have a nice pothos plant for it, need to go out tonight and get some fake plants and maybe another pothos to fill it in, will have the larger plant on a stand so its near the top, cant figure out how to hang it :/ as of right now all the trees are in winter mode here and the bugs are dead, would it be okay to bring in a branch or two to put in the cage? also, im thinking about hanging the lights from my drop down ceiling, ideas on how to do this?

Yeah, It would be fine to bring in sticks from the yard. Just make sure they do not have bark.

I just wash mine good in the tub with dish detergent, and bake in the oven for 30 minutes. A lot of people recommend soaking it in bleach over night etc. That seems like an over kill to me. I have never seen a chameleon in the wild carrying a bottle of bleach, spraying it's branches. If you feel it's necessary than by all means go ahead.

I have my plants on upside down pots, that raise them up at least 10". I tied my vines with fishing line so they climb up.

You could hang your lights with high test line on hooks.Maybe some kind of metal wires, similar to welding wire.

Here is a crappy pic, but you get the idea.

Nice! Waiting for my 24x24x36 screen cage from LLLReptile!! That looks like the one you have there!
I leave the basking light outside on top of the enclosure and the uvb inside.. But my cage was home built so I managed to let the wire in by cutting the mesh and kind of stitching it back in.. It's a mess! x-)
I might just get a hood for the uvb and leave everything at the top of the enclosure, outside.

Yeah, that's the same one I have. I have a dual fixture on mine. UVB, and 6500k.Got it from DIY. I was debating for the longest. Everyone says just make your own with a regular fixture with some foil, etc to direct the light. They look a little cheesy to me, so figured spend the money to get something that looks awesome, and fits perfect on top of the cage.

I'll second what eekroar said about DIY dual fixtures. A single 24" light doesn't light up 16 cubic feet very well. You can find 6500K 24" T8 lights but you'll probably have to order them online. They don't have them at Home Depot or Lowe's. The light fixtures are expensive ($50 shipped) but they are really quite nice. I use them on any cage that's 36" tall or more. Your plants will thank you.
