Oh no!

I fell asleep earlier, before lights out. I woke up at 11:30pm! I immediately rushed and turned off his lights. He was on his 'sleepy branch' and looked so sleepy. :( I feel awful! This is the first time this has happened. I have been planning on getting a timer, and now I know it is a necessity. What I want to know is what do I do in the morning? I usually turn his lights on around 7:30. Should I wait a bit before I turn them on to kind of let him 'slep in'? Would it even matter? I really feel terrible about this.

He'll be fine.

Just turn the lights on as normal and pretend it never happened.

Oh thank goodness! I felt like a dog when I went and looked at him and he was in his pajamas on his sleepy branch. He looked at me like I was a complete idiot. I am going to set an alarm on my phone so I won't do this again until I get the timer.

Like Eliza said, no harm done.

Right now is the perfect time to get timers! They're everywhere for Christmas lights and only like $3-5. And it makes it soooo much easier since you don't have to worry about being up or home at certain times. I love my timers!

I gotta brinks digital one from Wally world for under20 just the other day! Make sure you look at what's in the box tho people were changing out boxes to get a cheaper price at the store near me...

I feel your pain on that....I have been working and forget to turn my boys lights out and when I do remember, he is on his vine with his head stuck under a leave....I feel so bad when that happens.....I will be looking for a timer today.

I Love My Timers!!!
I have Gubers whole cage functions on 3 timers,,UVB,,Heat(Basking) Lights and Misting!

I can't imagine life without timers! Once you start using them for cham lights, misters, foggers, basking spots, you'll end up using them for all sorts of stuff around the house. You know you are an addict when one-plug timers can't cut it and you opt for the multiple plug timer power strips! Think about all the brain space you save not having to remember all these little deadlines every day. My only gripe with many timers is they effectively block the 2nd plug in wall outlets (which if you have chams you desperately need for something else).

I have the very same problem. You should hear my husband have fits when I piggy back power strips. Silly husband. He is sure I will either burn our house down or flood the whole place. I do on occasions have small water problems.

We got like 8 timers & then realised we only needed 2....lol but we don't have to worry about lights turning off on time!
