Oh no!!

I came home to find one of my females laid her eggs everywhere but her laying bin! Some eggs looked a little dented and really dry and hard to the touch. She started digging on Saturday and this is the same bin she's been using her past 3 clutches. I only mate her twice and the past two months I had her on a diet of two small feeders every other day. Also I lower her basking and ambient temperatures to give her a break in laying eggs, but I guess that did not work...

Sorry to hear that :( It might be a good idea to take her to the vet just to make sure she laid all of them, since chameleons will sometimes retain one or two when they scatter eggs like that. Also, it's probably not a good idea to breed that particular female again because once they do something like that, it can be an indicator that they will continue to have problems laying eggs in the future (even though she has laid clutches just fine in the past).

I hope all of the eggs will be ok. How long could they have been there before you found them? If it wasn't too long, most of them will probably be alright. :)

Rafael that is awful. My dragons did that all time. Drove me nuts. I assume the eegs to be good until nature proves you wrong. Sit that girl down give her a few feeders with some extra calcium, then explain you won't put up the this kind of behavior!

I'm praying they will all be okay.
Don't know if that will work, but thank you!
hopefully they will be okk
Not sure if they are fertile, since I only mate her twice. I know the females retain sperm for future clutches, but doubt it in this case since the last mating happened months ago.

Just found four more eggs behind her regular planter. I think I just missed them before since they are solid rock dry. :(

Left her a few crickets this morning and they were gone this afternoon, so I am glad she is eating. But I want her to stop from laying more eggs! I thought I had it all figured it all out by twiking the temps and giving her less food and did not work.
Oh my.. I hope they will be alright.

Only time will tell...
