Official start of summer ~ school is out, stop light off

well, today is the last day for the stop light I live in a small town, we have ONE stop light , by the K -5th grade school - once school is out, we turn it off for the year - and that is the official start of summer

I just wondered if any one else has something that singles the " Official " start of summer

oh yes, there are small towns like this all over this area, some dont even have a stop light at all

the biggest thing that made the news ( you go to the grain elevator to find out whats going on - lol ) was we got a new bridge ,this is a pic of the old one, and the old road fell in the river- lol so we had to build part of it again -

I liked our old bridge- it was neat - anyway, ITS SUMMER
