Odd color

I'm a little worried about our Veiled. She's about 4 months old. Heres the details. We cleaned out her tank last night and while we were going that we put her in her old terarrium which is much smaller. She was in there for maybe a hour. While in there we noticed that she was very very light in color, almost a whiteish yellow. we got her back in her regular terrarium and she was still the same light color. We turned off her lamps as it was bedtime and got her night lamp on and I check on her a few hours later and she seemed to be going back to her usual green. Today I have been watching her and she is green again but it is a much lighter green then she normally is. Her tank humidity is about 75-80% with tank temp at 73degrees and her basking temp at 83degrees. She just finished shedding 2 days ago and she had a bowel movement sometime in the last 8 hrs or so. I just gave her some crickets and she doesnt overly seem interested. She did eat about 8-10 crickets last night a few hours before we cleaned her tank. I'm just worried and not sure if this is something I should be taking her to a vet about or if this is normal. Any input would be great, thanks.

Oh also we did rearrange her tank last night so I dont know it that maybe upset her.

*update* She just took a dump now, right after posting this, could her stomach just be upset?

If you rearranged her cage, thats probably why shes changed color.
Can you take a pic o fher and the cage?
also, you said your night lamp?? is this an actual light,or just a heat emitter?
if its a light, she doesnt need it.

yeah its just a exoterra moonlight lamp, we just put it in to keep her base temp up since we live in the mountains so our winters get bloody cold. I will try and get a pic up as soon as I can

Also you said tank? Chams need to be in a screen cage not a glass tank. Correct me if I am wrong in that yall. My cham was turning a greish color but after he shed he went back to his normal color.

I foyu need heat, get a ceramic heat emitter, chams need darkness to sleep.
ANd how cold is it getting at night? they can stand drops to 60 at night.

Its a screen top tank but because were in the prairies/mountains, our relative humidity is only around 30% so trying to keep her humidity up would be a struggle at best and with winter temperatures dropping as low as -48 Celsius a full screen enclosure is not feasible to maintain heat and humidity over the day.

I have no idea what those temps in farenheit are.... but is the screen taller than it is wide?
And I would still get a ceramic heat emitter.

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I don't want to scare you but a light color can also mean a death color. I keep veileds and I'm attaching a couple of my blogs for your below. The first one is for general care of your cham. It has links with pictures of what all she will need in order to stay healthy and survive along with where you can but these supplies. Most supplies that you need for a chameleon can not be found in your local pet store. The second blog is about egg laying and the laying bin. Females can and very often do lay eggs even witout a male around if they are kept too warm and if you overfeed them. Sometimes they still lay even when you are doing everything correct. Females often become egg bound when not provided a place to lay their eggs.

that would be -54.4 farenheit, the tank is a exoterra rainforest tank with dimensions of 18”W x 18”D x 24”H, so the screen top would measure 18"x18"

Ok. thats ok then.
I would still post a picture. and get rid of the moonlight. :)

I'll pick up a heat emitter tonight, she took a massive dump and she has gone right back to her normal colours so that seemed to have been the problem, shes back to her usual basking spot.

I guess thats plausible. and good! she will sleep much better for it.
