Now I’m really getting nervous. (Still haven’t seen a poo)

It’s been about another week and I still have not been able to see another poo. I’m going to take the plants out tomorrow to make sure but usually there would be one or two visible somewhere in the enclosure. I’ve fed him hornworms three times in the last week hoping the hydration would help him out. He is not refusing food or acting lethargic, his eyes are both open as well. Also I got to looking at his eyes once he got in his sleeping spot and thought his eye looked kind of odd. What do you guys think? I live so far from any exotic pet vets but it is doable, I’m about to make an appointment for him because I’m worried.

Do you have a substrate in your cage? If so, what is it? Artificial plants? What insects have you been feeding your chameleon? What colour was the urate in the last poop?

Zero substrate and strictly live plants in the enclosure. I’ve been feeding a mix of dubia roaches, bsfl, super worms and in the last week I got some hornworms for him. The last poo he had was mostly white with the very end of the urste was a tiny bit orange, and the poo itself was really hard. The last two poos of his were huge compared to any other one he has had before, and one of them looked rough almost like possibly bug parts or something? It was odd looking and I haven’t seen another in a few weeks now almost.

I do think Mr. Chameleonaire's eyes look different than they have in the past. I'm not sure what it means, their eyes are very mysterious. Do they always appear like this now, or is it maybe you interrupted him during that weird eye bulging they sometimes voluntarily do, or perhaps because of his downward laying position?
My guy has a weird eye, and I've seen vets about it 6 times. Seems to be a cosmetic thing in his case, but I don't regret getting that peace of mind (and I have to drive 2 and a half hours every trip.)

I will say...the poops do seem to get larger as their metabolism slows and they use the bathroom less often...It's almost impressive in a horrible way. Sometimes even Spooble's dry out before I find them, so I hope that's also what happened in your case.

My guy has a slow GI and has since he was done being treated for parasites

My guy is similar when it takes him a bit to go. No lethargy, still active and engaged, no slowed appetite, just no poop.

When I’ve had extended times without a bowel movement his vet prescribed cisepride to induce a bowel movement, not something to do unless it’s needed but if you’re worried about compaction and it’s been like 3 weeks it may be an option to ask the vet about if you have access to a compounding pharmacy

I think back to the times I had convinced myself my cham's lack of poop was a sign of a serious problem. Invariably, I'd make a vet appointment, call out from work, rearrange my day, settle the cham into its travel box, and put my foot down on the highway to get my stubborn little guy there as soon as possible. Only to watch him(her) finally let that sphincter go during the trip as if nothing whatever was wrong. The handling, abrupt change in routine and a bit of stress anxiety often did the trick. Mind you, when I say "did the trick", the cham wasn't the only one affected. Must have been contagious. :p The upside was, I usually had a nice fresh fecal sample handy for the vet to analyze too.(y)
