Chameleon Info:
Cage Info:
Current Problem - I am just being cautious and posting this to receive feedback. He is often a dark color but not always. I've included some photos but the photo of him is not very good as he went to hide as soon as I got the phone near him.
- Your Chameleon - Veiled Cham. 2-3 months old. I've had him a week.
- Handling - I've handled him once, almost a week ago.
- Feeding - I cup feed him crickets everyday. I'm not sure how many he eats but I give him 7-8. He eats less than that.
- Supplements - Just bought Rep-Cal multivitamin and calcium with d3 but haven't used it yet
- Watering - I mist 2 - 3 times a day for about 20 seconds or so. I have only seen him drink once. He usually just hides when I mist.
- Fecal Description - His feces looks normal to me as someone who has had other reptiles.
- History - He came from FLCham.com.
Cage Info:
- Cage Type - 24x24x48 reptibreeze screen cage
- Lighting - 75w exo terra basking light, a compact UVB bulb as well as a long tube UVB light. I keep the lights on from 9am - 9pm
- Temperature - The cage floor is usually around 65 to 70 degrees and the basking spot ranges from 80 - 95. (sometimes the basking spot is around 100 but he sits away from it when it gets too hot). Lowest overnight temp is probably 60-65 degrees. I have a dual thermometer and hygrometer at the bottom and top of the cage and an extra thermometer that measures the basking spot.
- Humidity - The humidity is around 70% after I mist but drops quickly. I've been under the impression that this is normal as I know we need a humidity cycle and that humidity isn't constantly up.
- Plants - I have a Yucca tree that he likes to hide in.
- Placement - My cage is on the floor in my bedroom. This is a very low traffic area. Other pets are rarely, if ever, in the room. There are no vents near it. It is near a window though but considering it's a screen cage I don't think that would be a problem.
- Location - I live just outside of Boston, MA.
