Not sure if problem or not

My cham is an 7 month old Ambanja he seems to make a puff sound and has been doing so for quite some time. He is eating and drinking normal but I was wondering if this was normal or not. Has anybody's Cham done this before he does this everyday a couple times a day. His breathing sounds normal though. Thanks and feedback is much appreciated.

Does he do it often or only occasionaly when your around?
Is it sort of a sneezing sound?
Is the enviroment wet when you go to sleep?
Or is it constantly wet?
Whats the humidtiy levels?
Have you seen any bubbles or foam when he opens his mouth?
Have you made him gape at you so you can sort of try and see if anything if blocking his throat?
How are you dusting your crickets with calcium alot or just a little?

Is he puffing at you or someone else? If it is just his breathing he may have a URI. You will need to see a vet and get medication, sooner rather than later.

it is kind of like a sneeze

It does remind me of a sneeze and he'll do it when he's in his cage and sometimes when he's out. I don't dust the crickets that much once or twice a week but I gutload them very well. His humidity level is around 50% give or take and his cage is not overly wet. Ive never seen bubbles or anything blocking his throat. Thanks for the response I appreciate it anyone else have any advice?

Its pretty random. Is it possible for them to eat drink and act normal for months with a uri?

My chameleon does that when I turn on his lights and he doesn't want to wake up. I hear they do that when they get mad at you. =O

its not when he's mad

I know its not when hes mad cause he does it in his cage and it seems uncontrolable like a sneeze happens to us.

Pedro does this too.
He does it when he want to let you know "hey dont mess with me"
I think its an alternative to hissing.

I Also found out that they sneeze to remove extra stuff from their bodies they dont need for example, my other assumption is that they have calcium build up from over dusting which form calcium crystals in their nostrils which then leads them to attempt to sneeze to clear out the blockage. But it could be other things beside calcium
and it isnt a problem unless
their weezing or huffing ect ect if he is showing that he should be fine
but you should watch your dusting and supplementing because it could turn into something more.

Also,
I thought it might be a start of a uri which is caused by to hot of temps or too low. or too much humitdiy or too much and constantly wet enviroments.
You really have to keep the conditions just right to avoid these things

Its probably to remove the salt that builds up in the salt gland. When there is too much sodium in the blood, it goes to the salt gland and is excreted. That means you need to increase water intake. Spray more and make sure you actually see him drinking. This is mainly seen in desert reptiles and my chuckwallas sneeze salt on me all the time, usually right in my face, lol, but chams have this too, though it isn't observed as often because of their high water consumption.

AND make sure you watch for open mouth breathing and discharge from nostrils
