So I received my panther cham today from chameleon paradise!I got a male from the candy cane boy line. But after I got him home I was surprised to see that he was not shy at all and was eating within an hour of being in his new home then he surprised me yet again when he snatched a cricket right out of my hand. I don't have a name yet so any ideas? But I will have to get some pictures up soon

One of the new guy curled up for bed and one of him shortly after I brought him home

He's actually from candy cane boy himself. He's pretty well tempered so far even let me hold him for a minute the other day but got scared when I spoke too loud and wanted back in his cage his eating has slowed down though to only about a cricket a day anyone have any input on a healthy eating amount he's only about 3 months old??

at 3 months old, I would think he would be eating a dozen or so a day. how large of crickets are you offering? cup feeding or free range feedings? mine loves the chase of free range feeding.

He's actually ate both ways but I feel he likes the free range eating more but semi adult crickets in the morning and maybe a super worm or two he may or may not eat the one or two I leave for him in his cup while I'm at work he has defaceted once since I've had him and it all looks normal I've let crickets loose and he just looks at them

Its seems like a game or challenge for chameleons to poo in feeder cups. Your's is not alone w/ that "skill". He definitely looks great. You could try to give him an assortment of different feeders. Maybe he's bored. Try Phoenix worms, horn worms, silk worms, roaches, etc... mix it up for him. See what he gets excited with. he's also getting acclimated with his new environment. You've not had him that long. Let him get used to his new home. Keep an eye on him, and be patient. Once he gets comfy, he'll start piggin out very soon.

Well I've discovered he does not like cup feeding at all witch means I'm gonna need to do some cricket proofing of my enclosure any advice on some very sticky tape that will stick to screen but crickets can't climb?
