I got my first Cham yesterday he seems 100% healthy when u look at him he moves around alot! Yesterday his stole seemed fine but today I noticed one is a gold color! And the one he left a minute age was brown but had what looked like the yoke of an egg covering it! My Cham drinks constantly and has eaten 3crickets since he got here.

Age:unknown
Size: 10-11"
Sex: male
Type: fischers chameleon ( idk which species of fischers)
I'm wondering if his stole could be like that from the stress of shipping?

Can you post pictures of him and his poop? It will help us offer advice. Also what kind of set up is he in? Cage type, size, lights, plants, temp and humidity, and anything else you can think of.

Sometimes their stool can look like it has a gel covering it. It is ok. I don't know about the gold color though. It is usually brown or blackish in color. What did he eat? What color is the urate?

Was he shipped to you? If so then he may be dehydrated. I would make sure he is drinking enough and keep an eye on his urates. Maybe he just didn't get enough to drink whilst on his journey.

ok his cage i made in school about 9months ago its wooden with aluminum screen is 2x2x4 his plants are golden poths, begonia, and a huge umbrella plant. i also have a fake poths vine in his cage. thiers also some sticks i put in boiling water. yeah that gel stuff was the on a turd that was normal colored and kinda like dried up after a few hrs. but theres also a turd thats yellow-gold colored. i misted him so many times cuz everytime he moved he licked the branches right infront of him but he dont drink from the dripper i think when it moves the leafs it starts him. his food has bn a few crickets, a mealworm(he ate it off my hand first day so i was like WOW), and a blue bottle fly. chris anderson said he was a western usambara two-horned chameleon(kinyongia multituberculata) i have a photo of him not the poop
its normal shaped and stuff its just like yellow. ill post the pic after i post this message cuz it aint letting me?

ok its not letting me use the paste option just go to http://thezillaman.webs.com and click on photo gallery its all him on thier but like i said i dont have pics of poop.
also i got the 5.0 uvb light and the heat light temps 90-76 day and at night 80-70
humidy is 70-80 i mist alot but cant get it up any higher.

I can tell you that your temps are way too high. I have a K. Multi as well, your basking temp should be 85 at the highest. They are montane species and don't do well in the heat. Your ambient temps should be in the 70s, low 70s at the bottom, ambient in mid 70s and a basking temp of 85.

They are incredibly thirsty, when you mist use hot water (it mists out luke warm). My guy drinks much better with warm water and you may not be seeing him drink from a dripper. Your humidity is good.

He's a nice looking specimen by the way. Go ahead and fill this out.

Pictures are helpful

You may want to add much more foliage in there.. A nice live plant such as a schefflera would work well. In fact, I encourage it. You cage is way to empty.

Im on my iPod that tajes to long! Yeah 3ft of the cage is really dense the top foot is open. I think he is fine Just from shipping stress and dehration from the trip!

Hey veiled chams the photos were taken b4 I got the Cham and added more plants! He got plenty of hiding spots the pic of him only shows the golden pothos and it's in a hanging basket!

Well most the stuff I have already answered and unless I memorize all the questions I cant type all the answers! My website had the names of the lights and stuff! Like everyone on here is saying it's probably from dehration which can be expected cuz it took him a while to get here becuz fedex was about 2hrs late in addition to how long the flight was! As for the temps I raiZed the heat bulb a few inches!

Take a look at this article, it has valuable information about the species.

Anyways, what is your temp now? Basking and ambient temps? You can try putting him in the shower on his plant with the shower head pointed to the wall so your cham only gets misted. Use luke warm water and do this for at least 15 minutes.

And please fill out the health form so we can spot any potential problems. It's better to find out now then have a sickly cham.

Oh, he is pretty!

Just a couple of tips: to post pictures, copy the image URL, click the little icon that looks like the moon over a mountain range and paste the URL into the pop up box. Or, if the pop ups don't work on your phone, you can type it out (without the spaces) [ u r l ] pictureurl.com [/u r l ]

On the dreaded form: some day soon when you're home and on your computer, copy the "questions" to a text document, enter your answers and save it. You can then post it here and you will have it available to update and use if you need it again. I don't know all the capabilities of smart phones, but maybe you could even save it to your phone in case you need to use it while "on the road".
