Nosy male not interested

So after letting my newly attained male acclimate to his new surroundings, I've shown him my female couple times so far. She is receptive and I only wanted to see if he would try to breed with her but he looked at her and did nothing. I even tried showing him my Sambava who is 8 months old and is already head bobbing at the site of a female. Ive only had him for about 10 days so is this maybe to soon to show him the female because he's still kind of getting use to his new cage?

Also how long does a female stay receptive? After that do they I'm immidiantly get gravid with infertile eggs if not bred? Thanks in advance :)

Ive had females that havent been bred cycle without laying infertiles. I still had a laying bin just in case though. A lot of that has to do with the temps and the amount they are fed. I dont overfeed my females. They get 8-10 feeders every other day. And I keep my basking temps at 82.

That male may not have acclimated yet. Or you could try putting them together in a tree outside of their cages. He also may not want you around while he's courting. Some wont do anything while being watched.

Do you have another adult male that you can place near him? Sometimes another BIG male will get the testosterone pumping, an 8 monther to an adult is just a punk kid. :p

If that doesn’t work then you have to go with the ol' standby. Kenny G, some candles over a cup of hornworms.

A strong breeding male will do the deed any time and anywhere.

Maybe he does need to acclimate a little longer and lol I thought he would be a little intimidated by a fired up sambava though he's smaller than my nosy, oh well lol! I'll try putting them somewhere outside their cage together and see if this gets him going. Haha I'll get some of this Kenny G :)

Bump! Still having problem with male not being interested. He's also over aggressive and my female puffs up at him and gapes too when he does this. But when he is calm and gentle she is still her receptive colors.0

Is he eating well? My male Nosy did the same thing but he also wasn't eating a lot so I got a fecal done and he had pin worms. Has your had a fecal done recently?

He eats fine and everything, just not interested in my female. I got him almost 2 weeks ago so I haven't done a fecal for him yet.

Also what is interesting is when I show her to my male sambava and he starts head bobbing and what not she doesn't his or anything at him, just let's him walk to her. But by then I separated them. I just wanted to see if she was actually receptive. I guess shes just afraid of my male??

I will get a fecal asap. Hopefully though this is not the reason, he's big fat and healthy though.
