Nosey Be

Hi Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I was wondering, I really like the nosy be. Do all of them have the very blue color? Are is that the luck of the draw? And some has red lines at the eyes and others have blue? Those that have them, could you share some pictures of them with us?
thanks
jerry

"true blue" nosy bes were more or less bred to look blue on blue. You can see some really nice examples by checking out site sponsors and then looking at their breeders.

Nosy be island doesnt really show any true blue though most of them have some baring on them.

When i want to see awesome representations of a locale i go check out the sponsors websites and look at their breeders :p pics are pretty impressive

Yes this is how I do. too. I go look at the pictures of the breeders. But are the breeders chams the top pick of 1000's that they have seen. I had a top in miniture horse stud named jtr loudnclear a leopard app. He was beautiful and some of his foals were too. But some weren't so beautiful too. Thats what I am wondering. If a person bought baby nosy be males does that mean that they are going to have the beautiful blue chams I see on the breeders site?
thanks jerry

very nice.
What makes the different in the two? Janns has blue around the eyes and yours has red around the eyes? Is it where they are from? Are is that just a different color on a different cham?

Nosy Bes come in many different shades of green and blue. My idea of a true representation of a WC Nosy Be would be much like Jann's. Green/blue body, possibly red flecking in the body, possible red burst off the turrets and the very definitive yellow lip.

But, many fanciers want the blue Nosys. Bluer the better , I guess. Personally , I love 'em all...

thanks
Everyone talks about different panthers being crossed. Well how can you tell if the nosy be is true? What is the difference between the yellow lip and the white lip.
both are beauties to me too.

If you are only interested in a blue on blue chameleon, get one that is already 6 months old and has very clear colour showing. Because even if the parents are both blue as can be, there is a chance of offspring throwing to the more natural/normal Blue/green/torquoise with dots of red etc.

I like both the "normal" NosyBe (as would be more to what occurs in nature) and the Truly Blue (result of select breeding). But if I wanted one in particular, I would be as sure as possible to pick a reputable breeder and a cham already with clear indication of his future colour.

if you like the blues you should check out some blue on blue ambanja, i like those more than nosy be personally

Hey Justin, your Nosy is a beaut. I got a WC Nosy Be last December that looks very much like yours , with white lip. The WCs make fabulous breeders. No hesitation, just right down to business.

As you can see most will have blue and different shades of it. I like ones with red dots, some people dont...

And some of Dukes little ones... Awwww :)
