Nose rub

My Panther has a nose rub. He had one once before a few weeks ago but it was tiny the first time. I put ointment on it and it healed up very quickly. This time it is a deeper rub. My question it where is he rubbing and why? It has to be the mesh screen. I am wondering if when I mist his enclosure if he is rubbing up against it for the water droplets that hang from the ceiling. He didnt have it in the am when I misted, a couple of hrs later I went in and it looked fresh. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its a standard retpi breeze 4X2X2, I cant upload pics. I have a live plant and fake vines, the whole nine yards. The only thing sharp enough to do it is the screen and he would have to rub it excessively. His cage it is very nice. I have had him for about 6+ months and accept for the first minor rub which was a few weeks ago, rubbing his nose is relatively new. He is not shedding. The only thing is that this rub is in the exact same spot as the last one only this time its deeper. I put ointment on it and it looks fine but I dont know why he does it.
