Tobias spends a lot of his time in this vertical position. I noticed he drank a LOT of water, then he went to this spot and got a HUGE belly! Almost looks like a female about to lay!











His backing spot was at 92 (tested digitally and analog) at the branch... Its almost like he is trying to get closer to the heater... Little bugger is starting to stress me out!!

are you sure that is NOT a female? Does he have spurs on his back feet. I have never seen a cham get fat like that from drinking.

I'm assuming about 5 months. We have had two threads about sexing Tobias and the foldks said he is a he. Tobias isn't normally this round... He has a little pimple looking thing on his back right foot. But then again he might be a she!

yes females can lay eggs by about 5 months on. It does look like a spur in that one pic, but I agree with the other member that the other pics no. What do you mean eating like a male?

I have been feeding it as much as it wants. I heard you should feed females less and keep the temp down to have thir clutches smaller...... Yes?

Females will eat just as much, it's just better to cut back so they don't produce infertile clutches as much.

yes, that is so. But a female will eat just like a male so you cannot judge the sex by how much your chameleon has eaten. I am kinda on the fence with the spurs on the feet. I think your cham does have small spur but the size of the belly does not make any sense other than your chameleon has eggs.

So update,

I gave tobias a good 30 min shower, and now he seems like he is going to shed! so maybe his ill temper was because he was going to shed.

Im still not sure on his sex.

try and post some better pics of the feet. your cham looks pregnant in some of the pics. I have never seen a male look like that.

female and do you have a laying bin set up in the cage??? you need a 12in X 12 in minimum container with moist washed play sand in there for her to dig. Try and see if it willhold a tunnel and not collapse then you know it is the right consistency.
