What is the meaning of the terms "Sire" and "Dame" - there may be more, but i often see these.

Example:

Nosy Be:
Price -
Sire -
Dame -

Sire = father
Dam = mother

Nosy Be: type of panther cham
Price - How much they cost! (really?!)
Sire - Dad of a cham
Dam - Mom of a cham (theres no e in dam)
