No UVB for 20 days! Heat Lamp only

My hubby thought he bought a heat lamp with UVB but found out it's only a basking lamp. My little baby veil hasn't had the proper UVB for the past 20 days. After discovering this, I got her a 5.0 UVB bulb. Is this long enough to get Metabolic Bone Disease? Have I done permanent damage to her? Should I upgrade to 10.0 UVB bulb? She's had a normal appetite, poop/pee. She seems normal to me. Active/awake during day and sleeps at night. Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

She is roughly 3" long (excluding the tail) so I don't know how old she really is. Got her at PetCo.

She'll be fine, unless you see something terribly wrong I doubt it had much effect. Young chameleons developing females it is very important as they are growing but nothing to be to concerned about.

You can always feed her a little extra D3 this month basically same concept as the UVB.

Thank you so much for replying JackP308! I sincerely appreciate it. Does this forum have pics of Veils at different ages? Mine is about 3" long and am curious as to know how old she really is.

If you would like to post pics of her someone may be able to help you. Welcome to forum.:)

I would give a extra dose or two of D3 and hope things are ok, If all looks well and things are corrected you should be fine.

Hi Kate, here's a pic of my little baby

She is a very pretty girl but I'm not experienced enough to guess an age but someone will.:)

Thank you Hoj and JackP308. On average, how old do you think she will be when she starts laying her first clutch of eggs? I hear as young as 6 mos? Yikes!

I would reccomand having a bucket available at around the 8-9 month mark. But I think I have heard of youger chams developing eggs, just watch for the signs
