So we had our first run with the Pheonix worm, millworm today and our girl did not like either of they she ate one then would not eat anymore. Any ideas on how to kinda get her to eat them would help. Thanks
Hi! Does she eat any other worms? One of my chams refused to eat any worms then one day started to love them.. He can't resist them now. It may be a phase!
Maybe try offering them in the morning? She may be more inclined to eat them then. Just my opinion though!
I have a very fussy Nosey be Panther..had troubles with him not eating when he was six months..for 3 weeks..tried giving him hornworms he was afraid of them..gave him medizm size silk worms he was afraid of them. finally went back to small crickets and small mealy worms and tiny pheonix worms seem to be what he likes..I put one small mealy worm on a schefleraleaf he seems to like that..now i can put 4-5 on a leaf giant mealy worms he eats them..He is 9 months now..just make aure he has water every day..hell start eating little at a time until hes content..Every Cheleon is different and have their likes and dislikea..its a matter of getting to w your Cham..Thats what one member said.It is so true..
I'm afraid you can take the horse to the water but you can't make it drink Not without stressing the little pink horse out too much, anyway
There are lots of different feeders to try, maybe just a couple of wild caught ones per week until hopefully she is more adventurous - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/74-feeders.html
Usually they love worms so like was said, try offering the worms first thing.
Thanks i will mess around with it and see what i can do. Has anyone had Chameleons that just never strayed away from crickets, and never ate anything else can they be this picky?
