bigger and hate you more is usually their M.O., if you ask me dont touch it unless you have to but thats just me, many here on the forums handle theirs.... i just know they would preffer not to be messed with so i dont. but what captive exotic does like being messed with, none that i really know at least when it comes to reptiles and spiders.

A pissy cham is a good sign :)

It all depends on your cham, most dont like to be handled and others will tolerate it. Mine get handled minimally for cage cleaning, photos and just to check for overall health. Most of the time I just use a stick, they climb onto it and then I transport them a big fiscus I have in the sunroom while I clean. It takes practice, patience, food  and they have learned that stick = a good free range time and some sun.

Here is a great link to learning how to handle a cham https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-handle-chameleon-18438/

my guy is the same way lol, but he eventually folds from time to time to let me get him out. sometimes he wants iut and will paw for me when i get close, and he will come right out and sit on my head. NEVER touch their back always coax them out by just placing your hand under their chin. mine may be all puffed up, but if i do that he wont strike me, and he clams down. I have also read that its not to be taken to offense that the cham may never get out for you, because that is the way they are especially the veiled chams they (from what i have read) are the most aggressive of them all, but that makes them hardy since they are bigger ect
