Sweet, us Nikon fans should ban together!
Great pictures guys!
Currently I have
I have a D80, kicking myself in the @$$, they just released a date for the new and inproved D90.
I bought the D80 because I use a lot of the older and sometimes better lenses.
1)18-55
2)18-135
3)60mm macro 2.8(old metal version)
4)50mm 1.8(nifty fifty)
5)70-300(which I never use)

i use the 70-300 for long shots of buildings and whatever else i see. i mostly use the 55-200vr and the 18-55vr. im still getting use to the macro. i want the d700, i played with it at best buy. i thought about your d40 justin but you sold it befor i made up my mind. i bought the d60 and i love it theres nothing that camera cant do that i would ever need it to do more.

The D60 is actually a slight down grade from the D40.
The D40 has better ISO performance and better flash performance.
The D60 has a slower maximum shutter speed.
It does, however, have active d-lighting.
The D60 is less sensitive to light then the D40 (its default ISO is only ISO 100compared to the D40's default ISO of 200). Its less sensitive to light because the pixels have to be made smaller to cram more of them into the same-sized sensor. Smaller pixels collect fewer photons than larger pixels. Since the D60 is half as light sensitive, the D60 has to use twice as long a shutter speed or a larger aperture, which makes it more likely to make a blurry picture than the D40. OOPS!

:Di had read that too on DP review. i liked the d40 but i sometimes blow up my photos and that is why i opted for the d60's 10.2 m-pxl the shutter is fast enough for me and what i do with it. though i do like the shutter speed on the d300 d700 d80, well, all to $1000 dollar and up cameras :D
