I have the day time heat temps down but I am wondering about night time temps. I LOVE my a/c and run it alot. At night I know it prolly gets a bit a chilly in the house. Can I use a moonlight bulb for heat or will that bother the baby?

What sort of night time temps do you have? what kind of chameleon do you have?

If you are keeping the A/C on and it is getting down to the upper 60's or even in the mid or lower 60's you are going to be doing just fine.

You will not need a heat source if the temps are in the 60's

This is my Veiled Jake sleeping outside. He is in his very relaxed colors:

Don't let your baby drop below 70. An adult might survive at those temps but if you care about your animal why risk it.

If you're comfortable getting out of bed to walk around the house (for whatever reason) then it's probably fine. If, on the other hand, you're one who really does chill it to the point of "cold" at night (so you can sleep under an electric blanket! my mother in law does that) then you can buy "heat only" bulbs to up the temperature a little bit.

Yes... babies should be kept warmer, good point.

You aren't risking your animal by allowing it to have low temps. Check the weather where your animal is from and see what kind of cold temps it would get in the wild.

I wouldn't use that sort of lamp. Ceramic heaters are a much better option.

You can find those at LLL Reptile as well.

Another option is the Retpile UV brand heat emitter.
