Generally try not to directly mist your chameleon. If you have an automatic misting system, it’s just going to mist whichever way your nozzles are pointed. If your cham doesn’t like the night time rain, it’ll quickly learn to sleep in a dry area.
The goal of night misting is to raise the night time humidity in conjunction with fogging to keep the chameleon from losing moisture through respiration. It is also just as important to mist a few minutes before the lights turn on in morning so the chameleon can drink the morning dew.
