It's ok. But one of the first things you will learn on this forum is that you do not trust anything that PetSmart or PetCo says. They are uneducated and care for their animals incompetently. For a baby her age, she SHOULD be eating about 20 pinhead crickets a day. What is she eating at the moment? Anything at all? You just need to keep offering her crickets daily until she accepts them. For montane species, you need to keep a constant humid environment of 80-90%. Frequent warm mistings are key. I would also refrain from handling her for a while--it can take weeks--even a month or more--for a cham to get fully suited to its environment. Her lack of food interest may just be due to newcoming stress. Also, for her age, she needs a temp gradient of 70-75 degrees for her basking, and about 70 in the rest of the cage. At night it should drop to about 60. It is crucial she has UVB light. Get a 5.0 linear (or compact) style UVB bulb. She will get a very serious disease called Metabolic Bone Disease without it and will become misshapen and will sadly die from it if it were to become too serious. We're not trying to be hard on you, just to make sure you understand what your baby girl needs.![]()
Not looking too shabbyShe's a pretty girl. She also looks awfully big to be 3 weeks old...
Could she possibly be gravid?
-BTW He said he's had her in his care for 3 weeks not that she's 3 weeks old.
oh i probably mistyped i got her 3 weeks ago the ppl said at petsmart said she is about 4-6 months old lol sorry look at her newer pic here https://www.chameleonforums.com/new-forums-i-need-help-very-badly-95326/ idk why it wont let me re-post in this thread
Oh well in that case 5-10 feeders every day to every other day is good.
Also she would be gravid unless she was bred before she was sold (and being 6 months old that would be near impossible). Jackson's do not lay infertile clutches like panthers and veileds, but they will lay "slugs" if they are kept at too high of temps.
uhh she did have children 5 to be exact sadly 3 died 2 are alive petsmart actually got her pregnant then was sold later to me and that my prob she wont eat anything while she is here
