Night Bulb

I bought an complete setup kit from flchams.com. It came with a long hood light and a 75 watt lamp. It didn't come with a night bulb and I was wondering if it is mandatory?

You don't want or need a night bulb. Night temps can go as low as 50 and a drop in temp slows the cham's metabolism for a deeper rest at night.

Lights, of any colour, will likely disturb your chameleons sleep, and thus metabolism. If your room temperature dips below 50 degrees at night, a better option would be to run a space heater in the room, or purchase a ceramic heat emitter bulb that only gives off heat - no light. :)

I guess it really is a complete setup! :D Welcome to the forums! Whatcha housin' in that setup???? :)

Thanks! Here are some pictures. There are 2 draceanas plants and 1 schefflera plant. My first cham is coming on Tuesday to live inside this cage. If you have any ideas or recommendations I would love to here some input from a more experienced cham owner.

Looks really nice! When that schefflera grows a bit taller it should be perfect! I'm sure your new friend will be very comfortable in there! ;)

What kind of chameleon are you getting ? I just got a flapneck last week from there- He came in in great shape (it was the first time I ever had one shipped and I was very nervous) I'm really enjoying him-
