Greeting Chameleon Lovers,
I've kinda disappeared these past few months, and I wanted to kinda worm my way back into the community, so I thought what better way to do that than to discuss the good stuff: the affection we have for out chameleons. When I first adopt a pet I call it by its given name, but as we get closer and it becomes part of the family, naturally I start calling it less and less by its real name and more and more by nicknames.
I'll start with Mondo's names and try to explain them:
Grump - He's a male veiled, I feel this is self explanatory.
Dough-Boy - Do(ugh) comes from the second part of his name... thats it.
Dumpling - A veiled chameleon's body is somewhat shaped like a dumpling in my opinion... the top of him looks pinched. Also, Mondo sounds a lot like Mandu (Korean Dumplings)
Marshmallow/Stay Puft - When he puffs up he gets called this.
(Scale) Baby - Because he's my baby (with scales)
I hope I'm not the only one. If I'm not please list some of your chameleon's nicknames below to make me seem less crazy, hehe.
Even if I am the only one I won't stop.
