I have had my Baby male Veiled for about 3 days now. i wanna say he's about 2-3 months old. I just want to make sure im on the right track and that i have everything he needs to be healthy. so any input would be greatly appricated.

he is currently in a 24x24x48 Zoo Med X-Large Repti Breeze Aluminum Screen Cage

I have a double mini dome with...Zoo Med 100 watt Powersun UVB heat bulb on one side....and a 75 night heat bulb on the other

hes got a small ficus tree

4 jungle vines and alot of fake foliage

reptifogger

and a dripper

the temps during the day range from about 88-94 basking
and 79 at the bottom of the cage

and night is about 84 on the top and 79 at the bottom of the cage

they also gave me miner-all that has D3 in it which hes been getting every feeding like the can says buttt ive been reading alot and many claim its not a good idea. what suppliments are best for a young veiled and how much of it?

Welcome!
Make sure that you're monitoring his food intake. He's awfully small to be in a 2x2x4. Unless you're cup feeding, he might have a hard time finding all of the food.

88-94 is a lil on the hot side for a young Cham. Make sure he can get away from the heat to moderate his temps.

D3 should only be given 2 x's per month. You can switch to the Repashy calcium + and make your life a lil easier. It's an all-in-one.

Also, lose the night heat bulb. The temps can safely drop into the upper 50's. The drop in temps is actually needed to help in digestion.

I'm sure someone will post up some of the helpful links for you. I would but I'm posting from my phone. ;)

Hope this helps! :)

ahh thanks this helps :] i was getting confused with the vits because the back of the can says to give it to them every feeding since hes still young.
and i have been cup feeding haha im trying to get him to go to area to eat but hes still not use to set up so i just hold the cup for him and hes eating about 10-12 small crickets a day

right now hes actually on the top of the cage sleeping by the bulb hes not close enough to get burned but i did try moving him and he went right back does that mean hes cold or something? haha its 89 with the night bulb on

Great to hear you got a veiled, I got one for my first and could not b happier, love there character. Yeh they don't need any night time heat, unless the temp gets below the upper 50s, and that cage size is fine if your cup feeding, the little guy will love all the room. Enjoy

You should dust your feeders very lightly with plain calcium just about daily. You're chameleon should get calcium with d3 added no more then every other week and a multivitamin such as reptivite or herptivite can be used the same. Don't over do it with the vitamins! Less is more, just make sure they aren't being deprived of any variety. You want your crickets to have a light coating not be caked! If you don't want to use 4 different varieties of vitamins I've heard good things about repashy calcium plus. You can use that just about daily which helps simplify everything!

Also you're going to want to do some research on gut loading. It's basically feeding your chams prey items such as crickets a variety of nutritious foods so they can be passed along to your pet when it eats them. Good things to gut load with include mustard greens, collard greens, oranges, apples, yams, strawberrys and more and more and more. Look up more on gutloading these forums are over flowing with quality info!
