New veiled, stress issues advice would be appreciated

Hi,
Just yesterday i brought home a male veiled, and i was told he was about 6 monthes old, and very healthy. I brought him home after dinner, he sat under the heat lamp for a few hour and then went to bed. This morning i woke up and he was doing fine, but around lunch i went in to see him on the ground. i thought he had come down, or fallen, so i helped him back up, to no avail. he has the dark stripes and is flictuating between the brown and green overall colour. I ruled out sickness, an i guess this would be the new home stress, but its worrying me. I thought about it and realized my light was WAY too hot so he went down to cool off, at the ground it was around 60° but the terrarim dirt was almost muddy. Hes sleeping now, stretched on his side with the datk stripes and brown skin, i have a purple night heat on him to keep him warm but not hot, he drank a bit yesterday and hasnt eaten yet. tank is humid, everything should be fine but the temperature issue yesterday, if anybody had the same problem or you are knowledgable id be grateful for some advice, or anything.

Hello and Welcome. You do not need any lights at night. It can disturb their sleeping patterns and they can tolerate temperature drops into the 50's. Also you said it was muddy on the bottom of the cage? If so, most people on the forums recommend not using any substrate on the bottom of the cage.
