New to the pothos plant

I have been reading through and I know you Americans love pothos! Well, I had trouble finding it and the reason why is because I didn't know it was more of a hanging plant rather then a self standing plant. If I had this in my flexarium how could I go about hanging it or placing it somewhere to get its full potential. I'm having bad luck with plants lately! Mine keep getting flooded etc which is a big problem with me:(

tryme, the reason you keep flooding your plant is because you probably does not raise the pot off the ground or having the dripper keep dripping water for 24/7, or not allowing a drying period between misting cycles.
This is why on your past threads i keep asking you whether you raise the plants off the ground or not.

get one of this (pot feet) or anything that somewhat similar that will prevent the pot in direct contact with standing water:

or a plant stand is also a good idea:

make sure that the pot you are using has holes in it.

people has also put rocks on the bottom of the pot to help with drainage, like this:

and look what i got from searching this forum: :)

read the whole thread. I believe Summoner12 has great tips on hanging pothos.

hope that helps
Good luck with the plants.

just wanted to know is it better to hang it or can i just sit it at the bottom and let it work its way up?

I have used 2 pothos in the past and I did not hang them.
Now, I use hibiscus extensively in my cham's cage.

I sit mine in the bottom of the cage and put an extra flower pot turned upside down under it so it would be up higher. Then I wrapped both pots with the plastic fencing so they wouldn't slide or fall over and so the cham could crawl up.

I see. I just re potted my plants and put some nice rocks at the bottom to hopefully help with the drainage. I had my plants sitting in saucers which i emptied out around 10-15 mins after each misting. I also have paper towels at the bottom to soak up any other water. Problem is. So much water means that the paper towels soon become slush and the exo-terra flexarium is rubbish for this sort of thing. What could I do? It will need to be quite cheap plus easy to do. I don't want to buy their flextray as it seems like alot of money for what it is.

should i pot my pothos the same as my other plants with the rocks at the bottom etc..??
