Hey, everyone! My name's Brett and I'm 14 years old. I have kept a number of reptiles before, I love animals, and I'm very interested in getting a veiled chameleon. I get a lot of mixed information on the internet, so I'm going to list what I think I know about their care and stuff-please correct and add whatever you need to.
-An adult male needs an elevated cage at least 2 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 4 feet tall.
-The cage needs a basking spot in the 90's, ambient temps in the 80's, and full-spectrum lighting.
-A subadult or adult should be fed a few crickets/worms every day or two.
-The cage needs to be misted every day, and the humidity should be in the 60-70 percent range.
-Chameleons are look-dont-touch pets, and handling should be done infrequently by letting the chameleon clomb onto you.
Thanks in advance for the help!
