New to the forum, but I've always had an interest in Chameleons. Happened to run across these forums and I've been reading through here for the past couple weeks and it's motivated me to finally get a Chameleon (maybe more very soon). :D

Going off of all the advise given on here, I've already purchased most of my setup:

2x2x4 lllreptile.com screen cage
8.5" Basking light dome/60w bulb
20" Florescent hood with 18" Reptisun 5.0
Dripper
Large Ficus Tree
Reptical calcium with d3, without d3, and multivitamin
Timer
Digital Thermometer / Hygrometer
Large Ficus Tree

Thanks to lllreptile.com for the great customer service and FAST shipping.

Tomorrow it's off to Home Depot/Lowes to build a stand, drainage, and look for a little taller/fuller plant to include in it. Also need to make the cricket keeper which I already have the stuff for and put in the vines.

The MistKing and timer are on their way and should be here mid-week. Thanks Marty. :)

A big thank you to everyone that spends time on here to give good advise to the people trying to learn, it's been a great help.

I'll keep ya'll updated.

Flicker, way to go on your research!
Any chameleon will be happy to live under your care.

Great job doing research-everything looks great. You don't need a bigger ficus-just get a plant stand while you are at Home Depot/Lowes, it make cleaning the bottom of the cage easier to!

Welcome, it is always so nice for us to see someone get set up properly and know what they aredoing prior to bringing a chameleon home. You are doing a great job getting ready.

What kind of chameleon are you getting? And have you decided where you are getting it from? Try to avoid pet stores as they don't often care for thier chameleons like you & I would. Post pictures so we can see your new family member.:)

I've been by all of the LPS and even though I feel bad for the conditions that some of the chameleons are in, I don't think a rescue would be good for my first. I do want a panther, and it will come from one of the site sponsors.

wow your rockin and ready to go!!

Remember when you order your little guy that cage might be a little big for a baby

Update:

Had some time to find a stand, install the MistKing, clean up the electrical wiring/macro line, work on drainage, etc. Here are some new pictures.

Still need to find a pot stand to raise the plant a bit (Lowes and Home Depot had nothing, even if I was to re-pot it), hang the vines, and run the sensors for the temp/hydro gauge.
