Hello everyone,
I am a S.African who lives in the United States. One of the things I miss the most about living in S.AFrica is finding chameleons in my back yard. They are most certainly one of my favorite creatures. I hope to someday own one and that is why I have joined this forum so that I can learn as much as possible before taking on the responsibility of owning my own chameleon. I am a pet photographer and I would love nothing more than to be able to photograph chameleons. (My Avatar is a picture I took of a chameleon crossing the road in a game reserve last year in Africa.) In the meantime, I spend my time painting them. I look forward to learning more about chameleons from this forum.

Thanks for the great welcome Fred. 8 years ago my hubby was offered a job in Texas and we moved over here with our 3 children. I am one of those that if I am going to take something on I need to know absolutely everything about it. I currently own two dogs, two cockatiels, a bunny and a hermit crab. I have also been involved with wildlife rehabilitation, having looked after 26 young squirrels at one time and raised a possum. So I am a definite animal lover and owning a chameleon would just put the cherry on the cake...so to speak as they are one of my favorite animals. I am glad you liked the art work. I collect all things chameleon so I will slowly take pictures of my collections and post them here....at least until I can own a chameleon and post pics of that.
