New to the forum..

Hi guys and gals,

Hi my names Willie and I'm new to the chameleon hobby. I'm not new to reptile hobby. I currently have a high tangerine leopard gecko. When I was younger I had at one point 6 leopard geckos, 1 bearded dragon and 1 crested gecko. I have been tossing the idea around about getting another reptile and I can't get away from chameleons, they are so colorful and exotic. I have set my eyes on veiled or panther. I'm waiting for the reptile expo to come to Minnesota in April. Hopefully I can find my special little friend!!!!

In the meantime I'm researching everything I can possible find out about the majestic creatures. I'm am planning on doing everything DIY. And I mean everything. Enclosure, misting system, dripper system, etc. If anyone has advice to add or could point me in the right direction ( reputable breeders if possible)

Welcome to the forum- and the wonderful world of chameleon addition.....
I would look in the classified here- gives you a good idea of what's out there - If you do decide to buy at a show check out the purchasing advice thread and know what to look for to tell your getting a healthy one. It's sad but after every big show there seem to be a lot of new threads in the "Health Clinic"- Having reptile experience will probably help you though- you probably can spot a shady dealer -
When your building big is good- they like a lot of room - drainage is also important to keep in mind - there are some great thread in the Enclosures And Supplies sections that will help you out with ideas- I wish I had read the one on the spray bottle dripper before I made my trip out to lowes today...
