Hey all - new to the forum and have a quick question. I am in the final stages of completing my cage and will be in the market for a smaller chameleon species in the near future. Does this forum have feedback on those who sell here?? I used to raise fish and the site I was most involved in had feedback scores and allowed buyers and sellers to rate their experience. I can't seem to find out how access any feedback scores if they are provided.

Thanks so much - I have learned a lot from all the great information provided on this site (been doing lots of searches!!)

I am also in the process of getting my first chameleon. I'm picking up a male veiled chameleon from "Chaotic Chameleons" over on Facebook, as she is fairly local to me. Male veileds, as I am told, are fairly hardy and easier to care for than the others. I am too exited to get him next week! I recommend you inquiring to her for a male as well, she can ship them too.

Well thats not entirely true, GENERALLY SPEAKING of course (since its really an individual chameleon by chameleon basis, some are more clam and "handle-able" than others and its really down to their individual personality) But generally speaking, Veiled chameleons are "slightly" more aggressive than Panther chameleons, but I find them both to be "equally hardy" between panthers and veileds. Also yes, males will be easier in that you wont have to worry about eggs, and everything that goes along with that.

Also Veiled chameleons are generally bigger than panther chameleons, and in his original post he said "will be in the market for a smaller chameleon species" so if anything I would recommend against getting a veiled chameleon for him specifically. (please dont take that wrong either in that Im saying don't get veileds lol, it's just not what hes looking for by her post)

To ponderingky, I would say how big is the enclosure you built, and what size chameleon are you looking for? And as far as the "feedback on breeders" I don't believe there is anything like that on these forum (correct me if I am wrong) but I can say, there are many breeders many of us have purchased through that had great experiences, so Im sure if you find someone specific you are looking at you can ask if anyone has dealt with them before.
Just to name a few big name breeders (you should look for local ones as well to your area) but a few big "national" ones would be

etc there's are many more I am leaving out
