New to kingsnake

What kind of chameleons are you looking for? There are people that post in the For Sale thread and many of our sponsors sell chameleons.

By the way, this is not King Snake, it's chameleon forums.

Jan I think the op meant that they were new to kingsnakes site and didnt know where to go.

Op i had to look around before i found the chams also. Click the button at the top of ks home page titled classifieds. Then it will pull up all the diff types of reptiles then click on chams.

Careful

Be careful, there are some scubbags who sell on Kingsnake.com.

Faunaclassifieds.com is safer, because you can check on sellr's reputations.

Heheh that was Naomi not Jann:p

I would say go onto the classifieds and then just look for chameleons and click on that and all the chameleon ad's should pop up. Be careful there. Like mentioned there are scammers from what i hear.

where to buy chams?

personally, i think your best three options are; 1. the better known commercial sites (most of the best of them are cf sponsors anyway), 2. cf members (there is a strong incentive for cf members to do fair and straightforward deals, 3. and to a lesser degree, fauna classifieds. many cf members also advertize on fc. also,(in addition to checking the boi) on fc you can find previous ads from the seller, see who posted inquiries right before the sale, and in most cases you can pm or email that person to see if they were the one who purchased, and if they were satisfied. once youve got things narrowed down, google the individual seller. bear in mind that anybody who has sold hundreds or even thousands of chams, is (realistically) likely to have at least a few negative comments. the important thing is that there is information to read, if a seller is so obscure that you cannot find anything out about them, then they are probably best avoided. looking up previous posts by somebody, often gives you a sense of the type of keeper that person is. if you find successful keepers of healthy chams of the kind you are interested in. you can always pm or email them to see if they will give up there source, or point you in the right direction. above all, use common sense. jmo

i agree, just becuse somebody has a commercial looking site on ks, does not mean they are a reputable place to get chams. cf site rules discourage making negative posts about specific businesses or people, so it is always a good idea to google potential sellers, no matter how nice their pics or website looks. and another thing to be aware of; you are probably not getting the actual cham in the picture, unless it is specifically states so. also paying with paypal is strongly recomended, if you are unsatisfied with a purchase made through paypal, you can file a claim and they will work with the seller to hopefully acheive a resolution. many duious sellers have been dropped from, or avoid paypal, for that reason, so, if they dont take pp, be sure their reputation is known to you. jmo
