Greetings All!
I just wanted to introduce myself on this forum. Howdy!
I have long since admired chameleons and for years I wanted a Jackson's as my first, so I'm on here to glean advice on the best books to buy, and best links to look up research on chameleon care as well as the pros and cons of each species.
My background includes over 21 years of rescue, taking in various exotics from birds to reptiles, small mammals and even a few dogs and cats over the years, and a special forte in green iguana education, adoption, rescue and rehabilitation.
I've got 10 years experience with snakes of various species but have yet to own any chams.
Thus far I'm still eyeballing starting with a Jackson's but I'm in love with the species that can get nearly solid blue. So here I start my trek on learning about the different species, making sure I know what to look for in observation for the health and well being of chams in general and pick out which one to start with. Just looking to start with one as an awesome, colorful pet for now (so likely a male).
I look forward to my adventure and greatly appreciate all advice in where to start reading/looking.
So basically to start off...what books are recommended as must haves for first time cham owners so I can start here?
Many thanks!
Amanda Rose
