New to Chams but dedicated!

Hello everyone,

I am new to chams and to this forum. Here is my baby veiled's new environment. I have some vines, a small potted plant, and some hanging vines. I've set him up with a little dripper and the heat/UV light he needs.

Does anyone have more suggestions? I really want to gradually add more vines and branches and make it as fun as possible for him.

I live in a woodsy area and read that if you want to add branches from outside to the enclosure you should first bake them for a few hours at low heat in order to sanitize and dry them out.

Has anyone tried this or think this is a safe and good idea??

Hi Kate and welcome to the forums. Congrats on your new veiled. I keep veileds and they are a pleasure to work with. I would recommend more plants and vines for his enclosure. I get branches from outside often. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers below. It tells you how I have had success raising my veileds over the years.
