New to Chams and considering a pygmy bearded

I am new to chameleons and am considering a pygmy bearded. Saw one at the feed/ pet store and fell in reptile love. Have been doing research on the vivarium set up and have selected one. Have a general idea of plants I want to use, but was wondering if anyone knows if a dried "walking stick" branch would be safe to use in the enclosure? Also how are the pygmy chameleons sexed?

If its just a branch from a plant/tree, it should be fine, just clean it. I think for sticks you bake them.. I just use water and scrub for my hermit crabs. :)

Pygmys are sexed by the length of their tail. Longer tails are male. It can be hard to tell sometimes unless you have several to compare to. This is an excellent care sheet to get you started on R. Brevicaudatus, which is the most commonly available species of pygmy.

thanks for the link, I have actually read that one in my attempts at research. also thanks for the response on the walking stick usage.
