New to chameleons

So I've got a 4.5 month old Panther who I've had since Tuesday. I started feeding him crickets for the first couple days. Crickets, one superworm and one wax worm the following day. A handfulcrickets and Phoenix worms yesterday. Now during his usual feeding time he seems to have zero interest in crickets and will step on them to get to any variety of worm. Do I leave the crickets in there and just wait for him to eat them or do I feed him something he will actually eat? I don't want him to not eat during this time when he should be growing... These things are so funny with their food preferences lol

its not abnormal for chameleons to not eat during the first few days.
the fact that he did eat, a good sign. dont worry about taking the feeders out. i free range feeders myself. just make sure that they have food in the enclosure, so they do not eat the chameleon.

as far as not eating cricket... i would just not feed him any other feeders for a few days, just crickets. he will eat them again.... the other worms, can be junk food... and really tasty..... lol... the pheonix worms, mine will rarely touch... definately loves silks, supers, and horns..... all about the same...
i do about 12 horns every 1.5 - 2 months, supers about 3-10 every couple weeks, and silks when ever i can get them....
she will hit a roach every once in a while... but she has to be hungry for that.

again, try to not feed any thing but crickets for a few days.

I've read a bunch of different things about Phoenix worms. Are they not good as a primary staple feeder? Seems like everyone has a different opinion on whether they're good or not
