If anyone wants to further this debate I would suggest posting on here to respect the original poster.

I myself have opinions on the subject but I am not touching it with a 40 foot pole. ;)

Wouldn't be much of a battle with wielding a forty foot pole ;)

To much has been expressed on the other thread its not gonna die unless it gets ugly.. which thankfully doesn't happen around here to much :)

yeah... really... they had a chance at post 42 to split it off... at 120+ a thread can't get restarted.

and quite frankly, a jacksons 1" horn vs a 40' pole... doesnt seem fair

I have not even read the thread. In the future if anyone believes a thread needs attention from a moderator please report the thread or post.

I think there are many topics regarding how we handle genetic fitness vs genetic diversity along with when and how often WC genetics need to be added to the captive pool along with the diversity of the captive pool for each species with many of the thoughts on the other thread being a dimension of this.

It is a fascinating subject especially when you decide to include ethics and morality which is also included there.

I think in the future I would like to see a round table discussion on the subject with some of the more experienced and educated members invited to weigh in.

The other thread was started by a teenager concerned about a chameleon death match (not likely to ever happen unless one is small enough to eat) and a lot of more immature members joined in due to the subject.

I'll second the good Dr, great idea but not going to happen... not yet anyway.

Huh I meant it is a sensitive subject and I didn't want to talk about it. There was another really long post thread. I have and never would fight chameleons lol I had nothing to do with the situation. There was a thread that was taken over and it didn't apply to the original subject so I tried to split it off to its own thread. Sadly it didn't work. (If any of this makes sense, you would have had to of been following the other thread)
