New setup

Well I hate creating so many posts but, I thought I would put together a little setup post and show what I did, I stewed for weeks trying to figure this out. bad right? Well wasnt so easy for me but this setup is about 90% done and I thought I would post this and then the remainder of the whats left tomorrow. I have no brackets for setting up the rigging for the the pipe system for my draining but the day is over so its okay. Took me about 3 hours to do this...

As you can see in some of the posts I had a hell of a time with the glue and yes sadly some dog hair... I plan to remove it once the glue has dried. I will also be posting in sections due to the amount of pictures so this will be my main post followed by others the other pictures.

So here we go, I decided to use a LLL cage and add in other stuff and make it custom

-Cage-Lights
-hygro/temp gauge.
-Ultra sonic fogger
-Pvc pipes
-funnels
-Dowels
-Plant
-Shelves system
-hose for draining
-Tubs for water
-tub for crickets
-drip system
-SOON*** mist kit

Okay, so this is what I Did. I drilled a hole in the shelve system and the bottom of the cage. "make sure to measure correctly or it wont look right"

Then I used glue to attach the funnel piece I cut to the chameleon cage. This should then slide right in and drain down

Okay, so I realized that if I just left it like that you would not be able to let the system drain right, the plant would block it. So I took a heavy duty plant pot saucer and cut way points to allow the water to get to the drain. I also cut it small enough to prevent debris to get in there.

Now you will need to put a screen ( you cant see it) in the funnel system to not allow crickets or feeders to get in it that would in turn plug you system up.

Okay, now you have the basics. we will do the plumming part in the following posts. But for now you should be able to put your plant, in the cage on on the shelve and just have plumming left.

I am not doing a detailed post, if you want more information how, please ask, the pics show u how pretty easy

One thing I did notice is my UVB bulb might be blocked by the plant, may trim that back.

I like the funnel idea! That's a lot of dig hair! Lol! Great job! :)

Yeah that damn hair.... what happen was, it wasnt as quick drying as it said... I let go and it fell on my floor (I have a black lab) and well, yep... I was upside down, got glue all over!

Thanks about the funnel lol, I thought it was a perfect idea :)

Very nice job. Thanks for showing the pictures to show things step by step. :)

Thank you :) Was a fun project and I searched so many posts and only saw a few, so I thought what the heck

Lol! Dang, back to the drawing board for me! I had put one of those shower drains (pvc) in but I'm liking the funnel! Grrrrr... ;)

hehe thanks guys, loving the feed back :) glad you guys like the funnel idea. I tried everything but this was very easy.

Just make sure the glue dries so the vapor doesnt harm your Chameleon.
