Hello Everyone!

We finally got the last piece for Chevy's new set up today. Here it is all put together, what a task! Recap, Male Veiled Cham, about 6 months old with MBD, MBD was a lot worse a few weeks ago, but with good gut loaded food and proper supplements, he has gotten probably 75% better.

Got rid of the glass and replaced with all Screen, Fake tree replaced by Real Pathos (I think that is how you spell it), Vine around up and down as much as I could manage for now, same lighting (basking and UBV), Auto Mist system set for every 4 hours for 60 seconds, made feeding dish for worms and roaches.

Does it look okay? Compared to the really tiny Glass one that he originally had. He seems really content. Already been all over for the most part, ate all the crickets and meal worms.

***Husband got creative and added small wood rods in different angles***Genius that man of mine:)

I think it looks great. It will look even better once the plants fill in some more. You could probably add some more horizontal branches.

The one note I would make , is that it looks like you have him in an 18x18x36 cage, correct me if I'm wrong. That is fine for now, but he will soon need a larger cage once again. The smallest recommended cage for an adult veiled is 24x24x48 and larger is always better. Other than that, nice job!

I am so glad to hear that:) Yes 18x18x36 screen cage, nice eye:) Not to worry though, we are actually having one built by a very crafted wood worker whom is our fabulous neighbor. It is actually going to be rather big, not too big, but I am sure he will wonder what in the world to do with all the area. I just wanted to for now get him out of the glass one especially since his health went south. I am in shock about how his health has changed just in the past few weeks since my visit here and getting the advice that I so needed. Definitely adding more branches for him. We actually have a few that I am dressing with vine so he has better traction. Was just too tired to tackle that part.

Thanks for the view and advice.

Sounds like you have it under control. I am happy to hear that he is doing better. Getting him out of the glass and into a bigger cage has probably reduced his stress level and helped in his recovery. I can't wait to see the new cage when completed!

I will make sure to share the final product:) I can't be more grateful to you and everyone else that helped me out, told me what to do and how to do it with out being harsh. He started shedding yesterday. First time in months. He just all round look so much healthier. I have documented everything since this all happened and I want to share out story with other who want a Cham but truly need to do the research.
