hey :) ive been OBSESSED with herps since i was about 3 :D and i just got my first cham :D (veiled-Xanthus) but i wanted to know what everyone thought should be my next herp  another cham? a gecko? a snake? i might not get it for a while though :(

1.Chameleon if you want to

2.Chinese water dragon if you want

Btw post some pictures of your chameleon and setup we love to see pictures :)

Depends what you like. I'm a big fan of two types of lizards that I have. Bearded Dragons and blue tongue skinks.

ill pst some pics soon :D:D:D i had a beardie for 5 years and he died about 2 months ago :( my brother started to take care of him, and then he died  my friend has a skink and it looks cool, but he doesnt take good care of it :( and i want another cham, but there so darn expensive

i second that.

Ive wanted one since i was 12 - im now 16. Got sucked into chameleons and geckos first! :p

I also have another favourite reptile, thanks to miss lily :p

Called an angle head lizard.

Angle headed lizards are pretty cool looking, but from what I hear, they are fairly difficult to care for.

oh ok :( i REALLY want a green tree python, but their even more expensive then chams :eek: you can tell by my avatar :)

maybe :) by the way does anyone keep green tree pythons? i would love to see some pictures of an Aru or a Biak :D:D

My blue tongue skink may be the most docile lizard I have ever come across. My 4 year old daughter loves to hold him and he loves to be held by her.

Why not get another chameleon? I would think that would be all of our first suggestion (at least for me anyways, being that I am OBSESSED :D) The care gets much easier as you become more experienced, it is also much cheaper to care for multiple chameleons rather than one.

What about a crested gecko? They are very cool, easy to care for, docile and have a semi prehensile tail. I own 8 of them:)

Get an Aldabra Tortoise! How cool is that! :)

Look around and discover what species you'd like to keep (your spoilt for choices), then research its needs and go for it!
Happy Herping! :)

what about one of those legless lizards(not snakes).

I have a pair of these. Good luck finding any for sale (there are a few up on KS every once in a while.

I am seconding crested gecko. You can't beat them- they are easy to care for, hardy, friendly, live in very attractive tanks, eat a powder based diet (Repashy!), and come in various locals and color morphs.

Milksnakes are really awesome, too, as are Hogg Island Boas.
