A new reptile store opened nearby, so, of course, I had to visit.
They have a little of everything...snakes, iquanas, swifts, geckos, spiders, scorpions, and CHAMS! I'm in trouble!!!!!
While the cham setups weren't perfect, they were far superior to what you see in the big chain stores. They were actually using large screen cages and reptariums!
The guy I talked to was very honest that snakes were his specialty, and he knew very little about chams (the cham guy wasn't in). I showed him how to sex a veiled. We then discussed the fact that one of the babies they had in with the veileds wasn't a veiled at all.
I was thinking maybe a flap neck
, but recommended he post a pic here for the experts to weigh in.
Anyway, very nice to see a place where the people were more knowledgeable about the proper care.
