Picked up a pair of Johnstonii and they are doing well so far.
Anyone have any experience with these guys? Feel free to contact me. They were actually the first species I purchased many, many years ago. I forgot how brutal their grip is!

I have heard from several people that have kept them that they enjoy wind and that an oscillating fan is recommended. Never had any meself just passing along what I have been told, take it for what its worth.

Good idea Chad! Thats how they develope that crazy grip strength in the wild.

No way!!!! it's my dream species!!!! Congrats for these animals, they're so cool and seems in good shape..
I know a guy in Italy who kept them, i'll ask him to help you.. but i remember that they like wind and it's a good thing to provide it, if possible!! keep us updated and congrats for them an other time!!! i'm dreaming right now.... ;)

super cool, I love following these threads. I am able to visit these beautiful animals that I don't have the knowledge or experience to raise myself -guess what I am saying is that I am living precariously through members like you, thanks!:) I will stick with my Panthers for now, they still amaze me too and it has been almost 3 years now.

They are doing fine so far. I am letting them get acclimated and taking notes on their behavior. You guys will be the first to know when I have something cooking.
