Hello to everyone!
I finally got me a Veiled Chameleon at the end of March. My son named him Scales. Like everyone here I assume, I have always wanted a veiled and a panther. Was in one of the big box stores and picked one up. He was on sale for $60. Went home with him and 12"x12"x18" terrarium. From my research and cramming about chameleon husbandry I found out the small terrarium wasn't gonna hold him long. I figured he may have been 60 days old when I got him. Within a month I purchased a 18"x18x36" Exo Terra terrarium. It is the largest I could get locally but after today I filled it with possibly to many live plants and wished I would have gotten a larger one. This should work for while.
His terrarium is set up with a Monsoon mister. Lights are the Exo Terra Duo Top with one 5.0 t8 and a ZooMed Sunglo natural light t8 and 35w halogen for basking. There is also a Exo Terra Dual Canopy with two 26w 6400K grow lights. This is why I wish I would have gotten something larger for better light selection.
