New pics of my male veiled

probably a dumb question, but how do you know he's a male? from what i've found on the internet, male's are supposed to have little spurs on their feet but i don't see them.. i ask because i'm trying to figure out what gender mine is hahah

Not a dumb question! But male veiled chameleons will usually have a larger more defined casque. Leslie is a great example of this! Male veiled will also show brightly colored bars along their bodies and are usually larger than females during adulthood. Look at your chameleons hind legs. On his rear feet you will see a little nub of flesh protruding out of the back of the foot if yours is a male. These are called tarsel spurs. They are reptilian cowboys! Females will not have these spurs.

Great looking veiled! I was thinking the same thing about his casque...basically, "Geez...that thing is freaking HUGE!!!" (Actually said out loud)

One question: What is your cage made out of? Can you provide a small list of supplies? It looks like screen has been put over a cart of some kind. Whatever it is is, it looks cool.

thanks! it's basically made out of an old bookcase. i took out the shelves and put plastic mesh around the bookcase's metal frame . i cut the front part of the plastic mesh to make the cage door and sewed "velcro" on the door edges to make it easy to open and close it.

it's very simple but it took me a lot of work because i'm not exactly the DIY kind of guy
