Spurs?

I remember there was a previous discussion of possible spurs.....Can you get a picture of the hind feet? I'd say your new babe is an Amy just looking at the subtle patterning and coloration on the sides. Whatever the case, your babe is adorable. I'm so happy to see you find joy again :)

Ohhh Tiff....she's looking great!love the 2nd pic..it's like she's saying "look at me!"all puffed up and tough looking...i love her colouring

Hello,
Its a girl by the look of her pattens and shape of casque it looks to be a definate Amy. Great Pics though:D

Great pics and the more I look at the pics I have to say I think she looks like a female to me too, I reckon clear pics of the heals will prove this.

The baby is looking great, you really do very nice pictures.

Hey Tiff is this good or bad that everyone seems to think you have a girl and you had finally got used to the idea of a boy?? Has it occured to you fate may be telling you that a female and a male need to be with you??? I know you don't have the room but like the rest of us YOU CAN FIND IT. Just something to start thinking about.:D:D:D:D:D:D

 Just as I was getting used of her being a him and actually being quite excited about having a male after all, it's now swinging back the other way again, lol! I'll try to get more pics of the hind heels tomorrow. The heels aren't smooth like Lily's were - there's definitely something there.

S/he is now 16 - 18 weeks old. Would males be starting to show their colours at this age? I think another shed is imminent, so maybe more colour will come through after that. The barring on her sides showed up more after the last shed.

Thanks for all the comments everyone - whether she's Amy or Amos s/he's already part of the family! I love my little green chamele-monster! :D

I am not so sure you have a male any more either! Either way you have a beautiful chameleon and you take lovely photos of her. I almost voted for your photo in this months photo contest as it is a very cute baby photo:)

The rule I try to go by is... If you look at the heal, and you have to ask yourself..."Is that a spur... kinda looks like a spur... but maybe just skin?"... Then you most likely have a female. Spurs on a male are very obvious, and while certain angles may play tricks on your eyes, if that thing doesn't "poke out" and actually stick off the back of the foot it is not a spur... Some females just have boney heels.

Thanks everyone! Here's a couple more pics taken today. The camera gives Amy the grumps  so I only managed to snatch a couple of pics before the puffing and hissing started, lol!

I can't believe how much she looks like Tilly hehe. Cute or what!

Lets call her Amy

Yeah, I think we can all call her Amy now. That is a female. No way it is a male. The orange coloring around the feet is a give away......You have a pretty girl there :)

Eh? What's with the orange feet? How can you tell female from orange feet? I'm intrigued! I'd just got used to calling her Amos, lol!:D

Females and orange....

Young virgin females often get that orange outline on the feet. They will often get orange along the spine and an orange area at the shoulder blades. After they become receptive and then gravid it tends to disappear and not come back except on the feet. At her size you would see some markings on the side if she was a male. I'm like 99.99% confident that you have a female there. SoCaliSon's comments on spurs is right. At her size, if you have to wonder if they are spurs or not, then they aren't. She has perfect female coloring on her sides too.
