Hey guys! So yesterday I went over to petsmart and go me a female Jackson's chameleon. Her name is Lyla. I have done some research, but I am trying to find out if I am doing everything I should. I got a 18"x18"x36" meshed terrarium with some fake leaves and vines and some real bamboo (I took it from the woods behind my apt.) I was told to feed her twice a day 6 large crickets (I thought that sounded a little much). The heating lamp I got is a dual one with a repti basking spot lamp and a nocturnal infrared heat lamp both 75w. For water, I have just been misting inside of the cage with a bottle about every hour - hour and a half. For the water, I have some reptisafe that I put in the water to make sure it is good for her. I also have fluker's calicum with vitamin d that i put on the crickets. She seems to be having a good time and is pretty playful (she hasn't hissed or snapped at me). Are there any recommendations you guys have for me?

hello and welcome! No heat needed at night unless your house is going to get really cold like below 50. You need to supplement with calcium with no d3 and not at every feeding as the Jackson's do better with a different supplement schedule than the panthers and veilds. Search around on here for info on that. Also what are you using for uvb lighting? How old is your cham? if it is young(3-6 mos) it can eat pretty much as much as it wants which can be equivalent to 15-25 feeders a day so 12 is not too much as long as it is not a full grown adult.
