I picked up this 2.5 year old Nosy Be today for $300 with a cage, lights, branches ect, and a roach colony! He looks great and is very active. I noticed he is missing some nails though... He is completely missing some and some seem to be crooked, any advice on that? The cage he is in is about 4 ft tall but only 18x18 so its a little bit of a tight space so i will have to figure that out but other than that he seems so eat well and has no signs of being sick! He did not have a name when i picked him up but i think i will name him Mr.Freeze

He may have snagged his claws in the cage mesh and torn them loose. It happens. If the nail bed was damaged the claws won't re-grow. If you give him a larger space you can give him lots of perch pathways around his territory so he doesn't climb the mesh as much. Also, put some wider opening netting (I have gotten pieces of fishing net off ebay and used that) on the inside of the cage walls for him to climb on and protect the claws he has left. Claws that are very crooked may have been snagged but not damaged. They may or may not drop off in future. Watch his toes for swelling. A newly damaged toe can get infected. If you see a very fresh toe wound dab some Polysporin on it (don't use Polysporin that contains pain reliever).
